We finally decided it was time to use a gift certificate we received as a wedding gift to a wonderful Inn in Henniker NH. We picked this place because it was located near several covered bridges, which interested both of us. Henniker NH is a VERY small and VERY quiet little town, whose biggest claim to fame is that it is the only Henniker in the world! It was exactly what we were looking for as life has been so very hectic for matt and I am repeatedly being told that I need to relax! So relax is what we did. We drove up Saturday afternoon and got in about 3 ish. We drove around town a bit to see what all was there....which did not take us long at all....since it is a very small town. We took a nap....had dinner at the resturaunt at the inn...which was delicious....and a bit pricey....but very delicious!!!! On Sunday we took a Scenic Drive, which we found in a book in the room....called NH Scenic Drives. Go figure! It was a beautiful day for a drive and we certainly took our time....which allowed for plenty of picture taking. After we finished the drive we were on the "hunt" for the 3 closest covered bridges to us...which was not too hard since we had a guide to help us. The bridges were pretty cool...if you like covered bridges :-) After we were done with that we went back to the room and had nap time again...ok just I had nap time...gotta love nap time!!!! We went into town for dinner at a cute little pizzeria and it was just lovely. We headed out late morning on Monday and were very sad to be back home...with all the reminders of things still left to do! It was a wonderful weekend all in all....and one in which we desperately needed!! PS.....The bathroom/closet is finally complete and has been for quite some time now! I am waiting on one more picture that I am for some reason insistent upon having before I post any for you to see. This requires getting up on a ladder which I am not allowed to do at this point...so I am waiting for matt to get a free moment...which is a rare occurrence in itself. But the good news is that it is all done...and simply WONDERFUL!!!!!
